Achievement

  • The AQAR of year 2016-17, 17-18 and 18-19 of the college was approved by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru.
  • Most of the students received funds under the ‘Chief Minister Tablet Scheme’ and presented income tax related documents in the college.
  • Under the annual process, physical verification of various departments, office records and library etc. was conducted.
  • Cadet Renu Joshi of B.A III participated in RD parade 2015.
  • Under the Career Advancement Scheme, various professors of the college participated in Orientation, Refresher, Short Term Courses and Faculty Development Programmes. Many teachers of the college published their research papers in various conference proceedings and research journals.
  • Various competitions and educative programmes were organized on important occasions by various committees of the college under the aegis of IQAC cell.
  • Following the Covid protocol, the teaching work was done in both online and offline mode in the session 2021-22.
  • College's National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadet Sanjana Bhatt, student of class B.A. I got bronze medal in state level karate competition and was also selected for national level competition.
  • The college has been recognized as a ‘Swachhta Action Plan Institution’ by the ‘Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India’.
  • The students of the yoga department of the college were the winners in the online yoga championship.
  • The inauguration of the newly constructed building of the college was done by Honourable Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat through virtual mode.
  • Under the annual process, co curricular competitions were organized in all the departments by forming the departmental council.
  • In the examinations conducted by Kumaun University Nainital in 2021, following students secured a place in the medal list:
    (a) Anjali Sharma (B.Sc. 6th sem.)- Gaura Devi and Vice Chancellor Gold Medal (graduation level)
    (b) Sapna Pandey (B.Sc. 6th sem.)-Vice Chancellor Silver Medal (graduation level)
    (c) Tanya Verma (M.Sc., Botany)- Vice Chancellor Gold Medal (post-graduation level)
  • Career Counselling Cell provided information about various employment related topics to students through social media and seminars.
  • Students were selected for Rovers Rangers unit of the college.
  • The Goddess ‘Saraswati’ statue located near the entrance of the college was unveiled by Dr. Joginder Pal Singh Rautela,Mayor Municipal Corporation Haldwani.
  • Sapna Pant and Saima Altaf, research scholars of the Department of Botany of the college, received the ‘Young Scientist Award’ at the Uttarakhand State Science Technology Congress (UCOST).
  • Online ‘ACR’ forms were filled by teaching and non-teaching staff of the college under Digitization India mission.
  • Research scholars were registered under the teachers of various departments of the college. Mukesh Chandra received his doctoral degree on July 17, 2021. He completed his research work under the guidance of Dr. Rashmi Pant, Assistant Professor of History.
  • College applied for registration to NIRF 2022 ranking in the prescribed format.
  • Furniture was bought for various departments under RUSA scheme.
  • The process of making ‘E- Granthalaya’ is going on in the college.
  • A research proposal was sent to DST Delhi under Curie project by the college.
  • Mayor Haldwani, Dr. Joginder Pal Singh Rautela provided sanitation equipment like 40 dustbins and 04 garbage hand carts to the college.
  • A special training workshop on self-employment was organized in the college under the ‘Chief Minister's Innovation Scheme’.
